Eastwooding Your Managed Services

Yes, you read that right. Let’s have an imaginary conversation with our imaginary client about Managed Services…in front of our client. That my friends is not only a novel idea, but an unforgettable one.

If you’re not familiar with Eastwooding, you should be and I encourage you to learn more. But the basic premise is to speak to an empty chair as if you are having a real conversation with a real person. Yes, in my family we call that drunken Tom Foolery; on rare occasions the word psychophrenic is used, but I digress. In any event, imagine (no pun intended) having this imaginary/real conversation about Managed Services with your client in front of your client!

You ask all the questions, you provide all of the answers and you simply let your client soak it all in. Sure, he or she might be somewhat confused at first, but the beauty of Eastwooding as that soon your customer will find him or herself completely immersed in the conversation, nodding in agreement, sitting on the edge of their seat, listening intently, looking at you when you ask the question and instinctively pivoting their head to the empty chair to hear the answer. The concept is both brilliant and simple. Better yet, Eastwooding is a concept that is both effective and affective. (I’ve been waiting forever to use both of those words correctly in the same sentence).
