To use the Cloud or not to use the Cloud, that is the question! There’s been a lot of talk about the government and Cloud Computing. We discussed it recently ourselves with the State of Kentucky’s Department of Education’s move to the Microsoft Live platform. The question is not as simple as using the Cloud or not using the Cloud instead it’s a matter of use and type. Will the government use the Cloud and will it be public or private? I think the answer is yes, no and maybe. With government made up of city, state, county, regional, federal et cetera adoption is contingent on many variables. A case in point, recently the Energy Department moved their e-mail to the Cloud powered by Google.
