Adds Opportunistic Scanning to the McAfee Security Suite, Scan Any Device, Anytime, Any Where.
iScan Online, pioneers of opportunistic scanning, today announced that it has joined the McAfee Security Innovation Alliance(TM) (SIA) partner program. As a member of the McAfee SIA program, iScan Online will integrate its SaaS-delivered, BYOD security scanning with several McAfee security technologies, enabling customers to scan any device, anytime, anywhere with scans for vulnerabilities, compliance (PCI, HIPAA) and data discovery (PAN).
Mutual customers will be able to initiate opportunistic scans by iScan Online using the McAfee ePolicy Orchestrator (ePO) console and the results will be integrated into McAfee Enterprise Security Manager, McAfee’s SIEM solution. Devices can be scanned regardless of their physical location or network connection type. iScan Online can be used to assess Windows, Mac and mobile devices.
“McAfee covers a wide spectrum of devices with security management. iScan Online adds another dimension in terms of opportunistically scanning any device anytime, anywhere,” said Carl Banzhof, CEO of iScan Online. “With BYOD and remote workers changing the face of an organization’s networks, this new type of security scanning will be a great addition, giving McAfee customers more visibility into their vulnerability, compliance and risk posture.”
“We are pleased to add iScan Online to the McAfee Security Innovation Alliance,” said Ed Barry, vice president of the Security Innovation Alliance, McAfee. “Our customers face growing challenges to secure their networks and maintain compliance. The upcoming integration of iScan Online with McAfee solutions will provide our joint customers a valuable new capability.”
McAfee’s security management offerings are best-of-breed solutions in the security industry. They are widely deployed in both commercial and government information security organizations. Leveraging them to initiate and integrate the results of iScan Online security scans will make them even more valuable to McAfee customers.
