150 VARs Turn On Managed Services via Do IT Smarter

San Diego, Calif. (February 6, 2008) — Do IT Smarter of San Diego, a master MSP, today announced that more than 150 small-size VARs have rolled out new managed services businesses during the past year from participating in the Instant-MSP program. Do IT Smarter pioneered the low-risk, pay-as-you-go MSP transition business model for small-size VARs who wish to try out managed services but without committing to high upfront costs or heavy back-end datacenter investments.

In operation since October 2005, Do IT Smarter developed this Instant-MSP program to lower the barrier for entry into managed services for small-sized VARs and service providers. These 150 VARs have earned approximately $1 million in revenues from the program, earning an average of 30-60 percent profit margins.

– Product Fulfillment via ASAP Software; and
– Managed Print Services via Xerox.

Additionally, Do IT Smarter offers a Demand Generation program that offers a web-based portal where members can log-in to sign up for direct mail campaigns, email blasts, telemarketing scripts, newsletter copy, brochure ware and vendor-sponsored webinars. Pricing starts at $49.95 per month.

Pricing for Instant-MSP
Pricing for the Instant-MSP program involves an initial sign-up fee of $1999, which includes a structured training program helping the partner understand how to succeed and tailor managed services to their business. After 30 days, Do IT Smarter charges a minimum recurring fee of $299 which can be applied to Do IT Smarter’s many services.
