Nimsoft Hosts Best Practices Program for Managed Service Providers

REDWOOD CITY, Calif. – March 15, 2007 – Nimsoft Inc., an emerging leader of Service Level Management (SLM) solutions, today announced they are hosting a year-long best practices program for managed service providers to help them build and maintain a leadership position in a rapidly changing marketplace. The program will build a forum for managed service providers to exchange practical tips and strategies in addition to developing a catalogue of reference material for the industry’s use. With more than 100 customers as managed service providers, Nimsoft’s solution has become a reliable and proven solution to build a business to manage critical IT infrastructure remotely according to service level agreements.

Beginning in April, a series of executive workshops will kick off the year-long Best Practices Program. President of the MSP Alliance Charles Weaver and many successful managed service providers will be featured in a series of executive workshops, which will be held in nine cities across the United States and the United Kingdom. The workshops will appeal to both enterprise customers, who are considering purchasing managed services, and to service providers, who will learn how they can improve customer satisfaction and increase their profit margins. Featured MSP speakers are Alvaka Networks; Berbee; Fusion Storm; InCompass IT; Novell; The Revere Group; Ramesys, among others. Registrations for the executive workshops are now accepted at http://www.nimsoft.com/roadshow/index.php.

“My discussions with many of Nimsoft’s managed service provider customers have confirmed that NimBUS offers a quick deployment and short ROI. NimBUS has become a serious contender as the solution for managed service providers,” said Charles Weaver, president of the MSP Alliance. “I’m pleased to contribute to a Best Practices Program designed to educate the industry on the market opportunity, relevant business issues, technical processes and achieving high customer satisfaction.”

In an era where today’s enterprises rely on their IT infrastructures for nearly every aspect of their operations, business processes are driven by applications, and application performance is fueled by infrastructure performance. Services that provide remote and proactive monitoring are becoming essential to improve operating efficiency for thousands of customers who do not have internal expertise or want to direct their staff resources toward development or other ongoing management requirements.

“The managed service market is no longer an emerging market but one full of opportunity and change for those in a position to invest in customer service,” said Gary Read, president and CEO of Nimsoft. “We developed the Best Practice Program so we could share the wealth of knowledge we have acquired from working directly with many leaders in managed service. Others can learn from these companies, which have set benchmark in terms of quality of service and adapting in a fast changing market.”
