Distributor Arrow Electronics today announced the formal launch of their ArrowSphere cloud computing brokerage platform for North America. The ArrowSphere platform was launched in 2012 and available in other parts of the world. ArrowSphere is a centralized billing and provisioning platform for managed service providers who wish to offer public cloud services in a fast deployment model. The appeal to MSPs is that if they wish to deliver multiple public cloud offerings they no longer have to build the billing and provisioning technology themselves.
“In less than 12 months, we have taken our ArrowSphere cloud services model from launch to revenue,” said Laurent Sadoun, president of the Europe, Middle East and Africa region and global services for Arrow’s enterprise computing solutions segment. “We are pleased to offer a richer and more robust cloud platform to solution providers in North America.”
Arrow is one of the companies MSPAlliance has been monitoring as one of the several distributors in the channel who clearly desire to play a more prominent role in how MSPs take public cloud solutions to their customers. Arrow services more than 100,000 original equipment manufacturers, contract manufacturers and commercial customers through a global network of more than 470 locations in 55 countries.
“Given the successful launch of ArrowSphere in Europe, we are confident the platform will offer significant benefits to solution providers in the U.S. and Canada seeking to sell cloud services,” said Jim Livingston, vice president of services for Arrow’s enterprise computing solutions business in North America. “ArrowSphere enhances our current cloud services offerings by making the selling motion for cloud solutions simple and the ramp-up to the cloud expeditious.”
