WESTBOROUGH, Mass. August 22, 2005 OpenService, Inc, a leader in enterprise security management software, and Blade Fusion Technologies Ltd., announce that OpenServices Security Threat Manager (STM) has been jointly certified by BladeFusion and OpenService as a BladeFusion SPE Production Ready Application (PRA) for IBM eServer BladeCenter. The PRA certification enables STM to be delivered as a ready-to-run security management application for users of the Security in a Box security solution from IBM, powered by BladeFusion SPE on the IBM BladeCenter platform.
Security teams are crying out for integrated security systems that are simple to manage, scale well, and better protect the enterprise, said Ted Joseph, CEO, OpenService. STM and BladeFusion together enable Security in a Box (SiB) customers to meet this need. Its a perfect fit for our users: OpenService and BladeFusion lead our industries in terms of performance, manageability and minimal total cost of ownership (TCO).
The BladeFusion SPE infrastructure allows customers to consolidate their complex multi-functional and multi-element security gateways onto a single, fully redundant, easily maintained and centrally managed security solution, known as Security in a Box (SiB), based on IBM's industry leading BladeCenter hardware. With this certification, STM becomes the first and only commercial security information management (SIM) and log analysis application to be approved for SiB.
"OpenServices Security Threat Manager, integrated with Blade Fusions' SPE architecture, offers users the most complete security infrastructure solution out of the box," said Amir Barnea, founder and vice president of products, Blade Fusion Technologies Ltd. "With only a few minutes of set up time, our customers can create a comprehensive, high availability security appliance, complete with an enterprise security management console powered by OpenService. STMs security dashboard provides powerful event correlation, risk-based threat analysis, and centralized reporting for log data from the other security applications deployed on the BladeCenter.
Security Threat Manager (STM) is a security information management (SIM) software solution that collects, analyzes, and correlates security event data from across the enterprise. Its security event management system correlates events from firewalls, IDS, anti-virus and network devices with enterprise vulnerability metrics, asset values and business services. STM automatically consolidates, manages and escalates threats in real-time, easily scaling up to worldwide log event correlation implementations. It delivers centralized management of risks, vulnerabilities, real-time events and post-attack forensics. It enables simplified, consolidated security reporting and analysis for Sarbanes-Oxley, HIPAA, Basel II, FISMA, FFIEC and Visa CISP compliance audits.
