CentrePath Selects ComBrio

Westborough, MA

– May 15, 2006 – ComBrio Inc., providers of on-demand support for on-demand networks, announced today that CentrePath, a leading provider of intelligent management solutions for data replication networks, has selected ComBrio Virtual Service Infrastructure as technology that more cost-effectively supports the management of its customers’ data replication environments.

CentrePath helps organizations manage their optical and storage networks. Through the delivery of intelligent management solutions, CentrePath improves service availability while reducing the ongoing costs associated with the management of these critical networks. CentrePath’s Magellan technology provides real-time fault correlation and automated root-cause identification, allowing customers to resolve network issues quickly. CentrePath’s Network Control Center leverages Magellan as part of an integrated Operations Support System (OSS) used to provide 24x7x365 remote management services to leading customers in financial services, healthcare, state and local government, and other industries.

CentrePath evaluated various connectivity solutions for its Magellan Remote Management Service and selected ComBrio Virtual Service Infrastructure based on the product’s ability to reduce CentrePath’s operational costs, while maintaining high levels of security and service.

“CentrePath customers expect 99.999% availability from their data replication networks and we continually scour the industry for the most innovative technology solutions,” said Jim Sullivan, CEO of CentrePath. “ComBrio Virtual Service Infrastructure deploys easily and enables us to maintain secure connectivity with our customers’ networks, further improving our ability to proactively correct network issues.”

ComBrio Virtual Service Infrastructure delivers a constant “heartbeat”, or status update, from a remote customer site to a Network Operations Center, reporting on the health of the devices at the remote site. Based on these heartbeats, the Network Operations Center can open a “Directed Circuit(tm)” to a device. A Directed Circuit is a secure, on-demand connection between a Network Operations Center and a specific device at the customer site.

“Customers choose CentrePath because they are an innovative company with management technology that improves service and network availability,” said Dave LeBeau, CEO, ComBrio, Inc.

“ComBrio Virtual Service Infrastructure will help CentrePath continue to service its customers at extremely high levels.”
