BARCELONA, Spain--(BUSINESS WIRE)--ClearPointe announced today at the Microsoft TechEd IT European conference, it will extend the functionality of Intel® System Management Software 2.0 with Microsoft® System Center Essentials 2007, that ships with Intel® Server Products, to support the managed services provider market.
Intel System Management Software with Microsoft System Center Essentials 2007 improves security, reduces costs, and helps businesses move from reactive to proactive system management. The mix of hardware and software from Intel enables secure remote management and monitoring of servers, clients, and applications from ClearPointe’s certified, 24x7, “eyes-on” Network Operations Center (NOC).
“With Intel technologies, we are able to deliver our ‘zero touch’ remote management model; which eliminates the need for the onsite support typically required to resolve IT issues,” said Jeff Johnson, CEO of ClearPointe. “This innovative new way of remotely managing networks allows us to implement our self-healing ‘ClearPointe Smart Agents’ to resolve a problem before it impacts a business. Our NOC services are backed by written service level agreements (SLAs) that guarantee services at a fixed cost.” Compliance to the SLA is verified by the reporting functions of Microsoft System Center Remote Operations Manager.
“The combination of System Management Software with Microsoft System Center Essentials 2007 will help provide small and medium-sized businesses, IT management capabilities that previously only large companies could afford. The solution will raise the level of service for customers deploying systems based on Intel® Server Product and Intel® vPro and Centrino Pro processor technology,” said Brian Johnson, Server Management Software product manager, Intel Corporation.
ClearPointe and Intel are both active members of the MSP Alliance (The International Association of Managed Service Providers) and are collectively focused on the Managed Services Accreditation Program (MSAP program) to promote the worldwide adoption of the MSAP exam and Intel Server Essentials technology. “With the proliferation of MSPs around the world, choosing accredited MSPs to handle corporate IT management and security has never been more important,” said Charles Weaver president of the MSP Alliance. “Clearpointe has continued to demonstrate that they are a ‘best of breed’ solution highlighted by the new partnership with Intel.”
