Eagle has learned from previous disaster efforts that local and toll-free numbers can be unreliable during the recovery phase and has selected a number outside the affected area to improve the ability for callers to reach the free service. The teleconferencing service is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week until December 31, 2005.
Callers may stay on the conference for as long as they wish to chat with others or utilize the services to coordinate recovery operations. The service is easy to use with simple instructions available to all callers. Operators are available to offer assistance.
