NEW YORK–Sept. 12, 2005–Eagle Teleconferencing, an EagleNet company, is offering free conferencing services for victims of Hurricane Katrina and organizations involved in recovery operations. Displaced families and friends can use the free conferencing services to stay in touch and connect with other victims. Organizations involved in recovery efforts are invited to use the service at no cost as well.
Free Katrina Conference Services at 212-796-3222
The free service will be available until the end of the year and can be accessed by calling 212-796-3222 from any land line or cell phone. The service does not require Internet or Web access. Eagle has learned from previous disaster efforts that local and toll-free numbers can be unreliable during the recovery phase and has selected a number outside the affected area to improve the ability for callers to reach the free service. The teleconferencing service is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week until December 31, 2005.
Callers may stay on the conference for as long as they wish to chat with others or utilize the services to coordinate recovery operations. The service is easy to use with simple instructions available to all callers. Operators are available to offer assistance.
