SAN FRANCISCO (July 12th, 2005) FusionStorm, a leading national provider of IT products and services, announced today it has completed the acquisition of BMD Solutions, a leading security consulting firm with offices in the Los Angeles Metropolitan area and Las Vegas. BMD has a 10-year history of delivering a complete range of consulting services and security products solutions. BMD Solutions President and CEO Terry Daus will become Vice-President of the newly-formed FusionStorm Security Business Unit.

The acquisition will extend FusionStorms security offerings with industry leading security expertise and will expand FusionStorms coverage in the Southern California and Nevada markets.
According to Daus, BMDs security practice is a perfect complement to FusionStorms existing enterprise consulting solutions for storage, systems, networking and managed services. We are now a full service consulting firm providing end-to-end solutions to fulfill our customers critical IT needs.
FusionStorms new Security Business Unit will offer products from leading vendors including Cisco, Checkpoint, Juniper, Nokia, and Stonesoft. Security consulting solutions include security assessments, architecture review and design, vulnerability and penetration testing, and product selection and implementation.
The acquisition also expands FusionStorms 24×7 Managed Services offerings to include security support and solutions.
