According to Kaseya CEO Yogesh Gupta, over 90% of Kaseya's customers are MSPs. While this may not seem all that noteworthy, considering how long the company has been in business and the amount of enterprise (non-MSP) customers using the technology, it's still good to know that MSPs play an important role in the future of the company.

Kaseya Believes in Private Cloud

With most RMM companies messaging their cloud vision as public cloud, Kaseya has taken a different approach. According to Kaseya, approximately 60% of new customers are using the Kaseya cloud platform (instead of hosting the software themselves). This is an important statistic because it speaks directly to the overall security and availability of the underlying technology.

Kaseya's cloud platform has been built utilizing the following features:

• System redundancy and quick failover capabilities.

Mobile Device Management For the Masses

Kaseya has decided to offer its mobile device management platform for $1 user/month, regardless of the number of devices used by the user. This could be a very compelling reason to get MSPs actively engaged in mobile device management, especially when BYOD is becoming so prevalent in our global culture.

Kaseya continues to make the right moves with regards to its MSPs. In my opinion, the private cloud decision is one that really stands out as crucial for MSPs who have customers who care about data location, privacy, and security. The ability to deploy an RMM solution, either on-premise or in a private cloud gives MSPs choices, and that is never a bad thing.
