M&A For Non-MSP Buyers is Heating Up

Think the M&A market is only about consolidation (I know, Charles doesn’t believe in MSP consolidation) of MSPs? Think again. I’ve been having a lot of discussions lately with non-MSP organizations, including private equity firms, who are actively engaged in seeking out MSP firms.

While MSPs have a much different view of why they would want to merge or sell right now, these other firms are definitely looking at MSPs as a highly valuable sector of the managed services marketplace. We have not yet seen any significant deals close yet (stay tuned and you will!) involving non-MSP buyers, the question I have is will this trend positively impact managed services valuations?
