MSPs Helping Other MSPs

What is the value of belonging to a group like the MSPAlliance? The following story is true and one that happens frequently within the MSPAlliance community, although I sometimes don’t hear about them until someone shares the story with me. The story really underscores the importance and value of the MSPAlliance, even in uncommon ways.

I recently spoke to a NJ based CEO of a MSP. They are a member and attended the last MSPWorld event in Austin, TX. During this conversation we were talking about a number of issues, including hurricane Sandy and the effects on this MSP and his customers. As this CEO was talking about the storm and how it has impacted him, he began telling me about another out of state MSP who had offered their services, at no cost, if they needed them. The CEO met the out of state MSP at MSPWorld.

Now, this is the very essence of why the MSPAlliance was created 13 years ago, to bring together MSPs who share a common bond and vision for this profession. I don’t often get to see that vision realized on such an intimate level. But, to hear about MSPs offering to help out other MSPs when they are in need, is really amazing. To hear that they met at MSPWorld, is just special.

It may sound stupid but these stories really make my day and prove that there is a wealth of good will and a true giving spirit amongst our members, all across the world. That is the real value of MSPWorld and MSPAlliance, in my opinion.
