Raritan Vice President to Speak at MSPA Conference on Service Management and the Need for Integrated

ORLANDO, FLA., AND SOMERSET, N.J. (March 27, 2006) Raritan  a leading provider of solutions to simplify IT operations today announced that Marketing Vice President Sev Onyshkevych will speak on service management trends at the MSPAlliance (MSPA) 2006 Managed Services International Conference being held this week in Orlando.

Onyshkevych will give his presentation, entitled “Raritan’s Solutions for Managed Service Providers”, on Tuesday, March 28. Onyshkevych will discuss the emergence of integrated solutions that monitor an IT infrastructure’s health and provide in-band and out-of-band remote access capabilities to remediate problems instantly. Attendees will hear how businesses are using monitoring tools to spot performance and security issues before service is disrupted and remote-access solutions to fix problems without leaving their chairs. Attendees will also learn how Managed Service Providers (MSP) and their customers can benefit from integrated service management solutions.

Raritan — a sponsor of the MSPA conference — will be showing its service management solutions, including the new CommandCenter® NOC (CC-NOC) multifunction IT infrastructure management appliances and the CommandCenter Secure Gateway, a centralized management appliance for aggregating out-of-band and in-band remote access to IT equipment via a single, platform-independent and secure console.

CC-NOC which was introduced last month monitors, notifies and reports on key aspects of an organization’s IT health. It also provides security features that reduce an organization’s vulnerability to intrusion. Through a comprehensive dashboard accessed using virtually any Internet browser, CC-NOC provides current information on network and systems performance, hardware and software assets, as well as security vulnerabilities. When CC-NOC sends an alert notification it will include a link to the device in question. The link can be used by a KVM-(Keyboard, Video, Mouse) or serial-over-IP solution to securely access and facilitate repair of the target equipment from anywhere. Raritan is the first company to integrate IT monitoring and management capabilities with instant, always-available, out-of-band access to IT equipment.

Raritan’s appliances can help MSPs generate new value-added services with recurring revenues. CC-NOC, for example, can be used to help address a client’s key IT infrastructure management needs, such as monitoring, notifying and reporting network and systems problems; identifying and tracking IT assets; guarding against security threats; and meeting compliance requirements. When coupled with Raritan’s out-of-band remote access-and-control appliances, MSPs can manage a client’s IT infrastructure end to end — providing better, responsive service, while better utilizing resources and reducing costs.

“Raritan is excited to partner with top service providers,” said Onyshkevych. “We are committed to delivering innovative solutions that help our partners expand their service portfolios, lower their costs, match their revenue streams and enhance their position as trusted advisors. Our solutions are designed to help MSPs pinpoint potential problems in customers’ environments, and fix them more quickly, easily and cost effectively.”
