SecurePipe Co-Founder Serves as Technical Advisor on “Firewall”

“Firewall” the new tension packed thriller starring Harrison Ford, Virginia Madsen and Paul Bettany had an unusual actor working along side them.  Lawrence T. Levine, Co-founder and Chairman of SecurePipe not only served as Technical Advisor to the film, but made his film debut as well.

In this high action, “cyberspense” drama, due to be released February 10th, Harrison Ford plays a Security Chief for a global bank, whose reputation has been built on the design and implementation of the most effective anti-theft computer systems in the industry, counteracting the constant threats of increasingly sophisticated Internet hackers.  After his reputation and identity are suddenly and meticulously stolen and manipulated, he finds himself forced to topple his own security safeguards and steal 100 million from the bank to save his kidnapped family. The combination of home invasion, identity theft and masterful manipulation all collide in nightmarish reality on screen.

“The reality today is that the bulk of a bank’s assets are more likely to exist not in concrete reinforced vaults, like one might think, but in cyberspace,” attests Lawrence T. Levine, Chairman and Co-founder of SecurePipe, who served as technical assistant to the movie.  “The industry has experienced a huge transition.  The amount of cash in a bank is often insignificant compared to what’s in the computers
