The European Cloud, What’s Next?

While much of the attention in Europe these days is focused on whether the Euro will continue to be the currency, the managed services community is focused on another debate surrounding cloud computing. In specific, the discussion is how best to approach the construction, deployment, and operation of a cloud offering. Similar discussions have already been taking place in North America and it will be interesting to see how the European MSPs feel about these issues.

Unlike the US market, in Europe there are many different cultural and legal factors that impact how data is treated. Because the physical landscape of Europe is also more compact than North America, the ability to have geographic redundancy with data centers almost demands going beyond the borders of your own country. All of these issues impact how a company develops their cloud strategy. Luckily, we have some answers.

On Thursday, December 1, 2011, MSPNews.com will be hosting a free webcast titled “Making the European Cloud a Reality” We will have a panel of speakers discussing a range of issues related to the European cloud marketplace, how to position yourself in the cloud, and how to optimize your chances of success as a player in the European cloud community. If you are interested in these topics we encourage you to register for the event and engage our panel. We hope you can join in the discussion!
