Washington Bankers Association Endorses HEIT

Fort Collins, Colo., Nov. 17, 2010 – HEIT, a leading provider of technology managed services to community financial institutions, announced that the Washington Bankers Association (WBA) has endorsed the company as a preferred provider of technology management and IT outsourcing services. HEIT provides technology performance, compliance and security managed services delivered using a cloud-based architecture. The company currently serves more than 400 clients nationwide.

“One of our major responsibilities is to identify top-quality companies and services that will help our member banks save money, operate more efficiently and compete more effectively,” said James M. Pishue, president and chief executive officer of WBA. “Our members need the expertise of technology service providers to help manage the ever-growing complexity of today’s IT environments.”

WBA represents commercial banks operating in every county of the state, ranging in size from large, multi-state financial institutions to smaller, community-based banks. More than 97 percent of all commercial bank deposits in the state of Washington are held in WBA-member banks. WBA endorsements are overseen by a board of directors that researches each product and service and affirms its quality, integrity and value to members.

“We use HEIT to manage our security and compliance operations as well as support a number of other strategic and operational technology initiatives such as Exchange upgrades, LAN and WAN configurations and firewall upgrades,” said Sue Ozburn, chief information officer, Cashmere, Wash.-based Cashmere Valley Bank. “We rely on HEIT’s expertise to keep our infrastructure and systems up-to-date and secure, which frees my staff’s time to focus on strategic areas.”

HEIT’s financial institution clients receive 24/7/365 proactive technology management, monitoring and support from the company’s redundant HIVE operations centers. “It used to be that a single person could support a bank’s technology,” said Dan Holt, HEIT’s chief executive officer. “The knowledge now required to properly manage the IT environment, including security, virtualization, networks, voice and data, while ensuring regulatory compliance, makes that impossible today. We provide a team of technology experts leveraged through our operations centers that allows our clients to tap into a much deeper level of support and expertise at a lower cost.”
