MSPs looking for a cloud backup and storage vendor might want to look at Zetta.net, a unique company that aims to bring enterprise class backup and storage capabilities in the cloud to the SMB marketplace. I’ll let the technology speak for itself; basically it is a cloud backup play that boasts secure and redundant data centers within the United States and a software based technology that does not require any appliance at the customer premise.
Perhaps more important than the technology, the company has recruited a number of channel veterans, many of whom have significant experience working with MSPs, in order to cultivate a MSP channel. From my discussion with the Zetta team they are very serious about MSPs and recognize their importance to the success of their channel program.
The expanded channel program has all the typical earmarks of a MSP program:
- Pay as you go pricing
- MSP quick start program for easy entry into the Zetta channel
- Ability for MSPs to gradually ease their customers into the technology
- Certified and audited data centers…and not just the data centers, the Zetta processes and controls also are audited
Yeah, there are a lot of backup/storage vendors out there trying to recruit MSPs. But, when you have a line up of MSP veterans and technology that has some serious backing behind it, this is one of those companies you need to keep your eye on in the coming months.
