Two announcements came out from online storage vendor Zetta.net. First, and probably most important for managed services companies, is a central management console for Zetta’s DataProtect partners who want to view all their cloud backup and disaster recovery customers in a centralized and multi-tenant way.
“The Zetta.net Management Console has been a very effective tool for us,” said Mark Wertz, president of Mizon, a managed services provider based in Charlotte, North Carolina. “It’s a dashboard for everything we have to manage in our portfolio using a single interface. It will be very powerful for us this year as we open up the flood gates on our marketing and start to bring in larger-volume clients. In a year from now, if we have 100 clients using the Zetta.net solution, we can add and scale easily using the portal without any management nightmares. It will be easy with Zetta.net to crank up the volume and grow our business without a heavy administrative stack to support it on the back-end.”
The second announcement focused on a new marketing and lead generation program for Zetta’s managed services partners. It appears that the program will center around internal lead generation and market demand solutions developed by Zetta being offered directly to managed services partners. While this is not a new concept it is something that can offer a lot of help to service providers as well as produce meaningful results in the form of actual revenue. The marketing program will consiste of 3 levels:
- Basic – The Basic marketing package includes inbound and content marketing foundation training, cloud server backup and disaster recovery value proposition and messaging, content strategy and a basic conversion optimization workshop.
- Advanced – Advanced support adds advice for SEO optimization, landing pages, enhanced conversion optimization, and community outreach.
- Pro – Pro support includes consultation and budget for enhanced SEO optimization, PPC optimization, and help with keyword strategy development. In addition, partners will be invited to participate in a metrics workshop, joint webinars, and have customized content generated by Zetta.net.
Zetta.net has been rapidly making advances in the appliance-less online backup and recovery market segment. We will continue to monitor and report on their success.
