As the holidays approach, it is a good time for reflection and for looking ahead to the new year. Instead of doing the typical market forecasting and predictions (yes, I’ll do them in January), I thought it would be helpful to take stock in where we are in this profession we call managed services.
Coming off a stellar year of growth, IT services spending, and undeniable demand for managed services, it’s sometimes challenging to gain perspective. MSPs everywhere around the globe are experiencing substantial growth and demand for their services. We are in an excellent position ending the year, and the forecast for next 2019 is even better.
Yes, we do have challenges, but this has always been the case. Our challenges in 2019 are reasonable and able to be solved, for the most part, entirely within the MSP channel. These challenges are necessary for the ongoing growth and maturation of the managed services profession; problems we cannot ignore.
The opportunities, however, are very real, and obtainable. It is hard to imagine a more ideal environment for managed services growth than the present: true demand by consumers, capacity to deliver high-value solutions, and a lack of alternatives from where these solutions can be provided.
We all have a lot to be grateful for this holiday season!
