SAN JOSE, CA.–––September 26, 2007– The Managed Service Provider Alliance (MSPA) today announced that ClearPointe’s certified NOC services are available for use by their membership in order to attain MSPA accreditation.
The announcement, made at the MSP Alliance Fall Managed Services Conference, highlights a new trend in the managed services provider (MSP) marketplace. There are a number of value added resellers (VARs) that want to deliver a hardened, secure, remote network management solution to their clients. Unfortunately, building and operating a 24×7 fully staffed NOC to deliver these services can turn into a multi-million dollar investment and most VARs can’t afford this.
“The availability of ClearPointe’s partner-ready NOC removes these barriers for the VARs,” said Bob Longo ClearPointe’s Director. “We allow partners to not only leverage ClearPointe’s state-of-the art infrastructure and mature NOC processes, but also to satisfy the MSPA requirements in order to receive accreditation. This dramatically shortens the time and cost involved in attaining the accreditation while increasing the value of services MSPA members can deliver to their clients”.
Mr. Longo emphasizes that “Our ‘zero touch’, proactive model, eliminates the need for a partner to go onsite to resolve an issue. This innovative new way of remotely managing networks allows us to proactively resolve a problem before it impacts a business. If a partner or client calls us with a problem, or if we give an unresolved problem back to them, we have failed them. This patent-pending service is backed by financial penalty-based agreements.”
“Many VARs see a revenue opportunity to deliver MSP services but do not wish to undertake the process of building their own NOC.” said Charles Weaver, president of the MSP Alliance. “With ClearPointe’s high standards, proven NOC processes and technology leadership in this industry, I am confident our members will be successful in delivering an accredited service to their clients.”
ClearPointe is also certified as a training center and proctor for the Managed Services Accreditation Exam™, offered by the MSP Alliance. This exam tests MSPs for their overall capabilities to deliver efficient and secure managed services. In addition to testing areas related to business, financial and corporate security practices, the exam looks at other areas such as client retention and satisfaction, automation, and managed services efficiencies.
