Kaseya Sets Sights On Burgeoning Middle East IT Market

ST. HELIER, JERSEY – November 12, 2007: Kaseya, a global provider of IT automation software, today announced its plans to expand its network of partners, resellers and customers into the Middle East IT market. The company will target Managed Service Providers (MSPs) and corporate customers in the region, and has appointed reseller industry veteran Jim McMahon as region manager to spearhead the new expansion.

To coincide with the Middle East expansion, Kaseya also launched its UK and Dutch websites – further evidence that Kaseya is executing its strategy to lead the global market in providing IT automation software for delivering managed services.  The sites www.kaseya.nl and www.kaseya.co.uk aim to better serve businesses in those geographies. 

Kaseya will focus initially on signing deals with the numerous MSPs currently active across the Middle East – including the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Kuwait – and is offering interested MSPs the chance to download and use its software at no charge for a 30 day evaluation period. McMahon has already identified a significant number of key targets across the region. The company’s technology allows MSPs to shift their business models from the provision of ”break/fix” services for their clients to more proactive management and monitoring services.

McMahon, Kaseya Middle East Region manager, commented, “The traditional break/fix IT services model has had its day. In an increasingly competitive environment, managed service providers simply cannot deliver the depth, breadth or quality of service required using the traditional on site, engineer based approach.  Recent research by IDC valued the IT services market in the UAE alone at $507.81 million in 2006 and expects the market to grow to $964 million by 2011. The highly scalable Kaseya IT automation software will help MSPs to deliver corporate level services to support this growing demand.

McMahon is a senior IT executive with almost 20-years experience in managing sales, marketing and business operations. He joins Kaseya from Avocent, where he was Systems Integrator sales manager. Before this, he spent eight years working for Dell, including two years on an international assignment as the Middle East Enterprise sales manager.

McMahon was selected as a member of the Compaq management startup team in the Middle East where he developed the server and storage business. He also spent nearly 10 years covering the Middle East with Intergraph Corporation based out of Cyprus, Saudi Arabia and Dubai.

McMahon concluded, “The MSP market in the Middle East is advanced and well developed but currently organizations are missing the necessary automation software to deliver best value to customers. By creating the right policies and services, via an automated framework, providers can ensure all machines under management are always running at peak efficiency.”
