Managing Partner of Belgian MSP to work on important managed services industry initiatives
CHICO, CA., May 22, 2012 – MSPAlliance, the International Association of Managed Service Providers, today announced the appointment of Nicolas Geudens to its advisory board. The MSPAlliance advisory board is tasked with maintaining the standards of conduct and certification guidelines of the association, most notably, the Unified Certification Standard (UCS).
“Nicolas Geudens has a wealth of experience in managed services as the managing partner of one of Belgium’s leading MSPs,” said Charles Weaver, MSPAlliance CEO. “Mr. Geudens will bring a unique perspective to our board and will help further expand the MSPAlliance standards throughout Europe. We are very lucky to have his leadership and wisdom and welcome him to our advisory board.”
The MSPAlliance advisory board originally created what is today the Unified Certification Standard for Cloud & Managed Service Providers. The UCS goes through annual review in order to ensure the standard is up to date and responsive to the needs of both the MSP and end-user communities.
“I consider it a great honor to be part of the advisory board of the world’s largest professional association and certifying body for the Managed Services Industry,” said Mr. Geudens. “I will make it a personal goal to make sure that the UCS certification is well respected by both MSPs and customers by making the managed services and cloud computing profession as transparent as possible. Transparency is crucial so customers can make the most informed decision possible when selecting their service provider.”
Having achieved the UCS audit designation is one of the prerequisites of serving on the advisory board. In addition to being certified, members are selected based on their understanding of and willingness to help advance the cause of the MSPAlliance and the professionalism of the managed services industry.
