Problem Clients

We know about problem clients that cost us money, and how it is best to ditch them.

What do you do when you have a problem client (doesn’t pay, doesn’t pay on time, refuses to pay late fees, ignores agreement policies, disputes time logs, etc.) that you make a lot (or most) of your money from?

I’m thinking of “firing” them because they could become a liability and I think they might be ethically challenged. I don’t trust them, but I need their income.

Any suggestions? It may be a lost cause as I’m trying to collect from them, but if they get caught up, they will likely want me to keep helping them. What would you do?
