Compuquip Technologies Promotes Eric Dosal to President and CEO

MIAMI, Jan. 17, 2012 – Compuquip Technologies Inc., one of the largest IT services providers in South Florida, today announced the promotion of Eric Dosal to president and CEO. He succeeds Alberto Dosal, who will now serve as chairman of the family-owned and operated company.

“Since joining Compuquip in 2002 as an account manager, Eric has distinguished himself as a strong leader with a passionate commitment to advance our company’s goals, expand our service offerings and fortify client relationships,” said Alberto Dosal. “He has played a pivotal role in our success, and we welcome his strategic direction to take our company to the next level.”

Since 2010, Dosal has served as Compuquip’s COO. During this time, he co-founded the subsidiary BrightGauge Software, a cloud-based application that enables managed services providers (MSPs) to create customizable reports that help their clients visualize IT in real time. Previously, he was director of services and more than doubled the size of Compuquip’s IT support team and helped to grow the business 300 percent over a four year period. Before this, he was director of managed services, responsible for developing and launching Compuquip’s Managed IT Services solution.

Early in his career, Dosal was an associate with the Investment Banking Group at Blaylock & Partners in New York City, where he worked with Fortune 500 companies on IPOs, public high-yield-debt offerings, private placements and mergers and acquisitions.

“It’s an honor to assume the position held by my father for the past 31 years,” said Eric Dosal. “This is an exciting time in our company’s history, as we prepare to move into new, state -of-the-art office space and improve upon our track record of helping regional businesses leverage technology to reduce costs and improve operating efficiencies.”

Active in charitable organizations, Dosal supports the National Brain Tumor Foundation and the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, for which he helps to raise funds during its annual Nautica South Beach Triathlon. In addition, he is a member of the Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce and the Babson College President’s Society.

Dosal holds a bachelor’s degree in finance and investments from Babson College, where he graduated magna cum laude and earned the Wallace P. Mors Award for top-finance student.
